With cloud computing, HR is sticking its nose where it doesn't belong
People in human resources fear that the cloud removes controls over information and communication, but cloud proponents argue that the cloud is misunderstood.
In a recent article in HR Magazine, people in human resources expressed fears that adoption of public cloud-based systems will remove control that IT has over information, communication, intellectual property and workplace policies.
However, people in human resources often don’t understand the fine tunings of the cloud, and miss the point that employees are doing what they can to be productive and efficient, InfoWorld reported.
Even if human resources puts limitations on the cloud, employees will find a way around them. The point is to make employees as productive as possible, and the cloud enables this.
