With how popular big data has become, there has been an increasing need for “big data scientists,” or those who are trained to analyze large amounts of data and render it useable.
However, as with any position that is so specialized, there is a shortage of data scientists. That’s why it’s best to open up big data access to every day users, Wired reported.
With average users having access to big data, there wouldn’t be as much pressure around the lack of data scientists, and would broaden the user base for data analytics and accelerate informed decision making in ways that weren’t possible before, Wired reported.
