SAIC nabs $102M contract to provide IT services to California county
SAIC has won a contract to provide IT managed services and solutions to agencies and departments within Orange County, Calif.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a five-year $102 million contract with Orange County, Calif., to provide information technology managed services and solutions to agencies and departments within the county.
The firm-fixed-price contract has a base of $74 million and contains two option years.
Orange County’s government consists of 25 departments and respective divisions, responsible for 3 million residents, the company said in a release.
It serves as a regional service provider and planning agency whose core businesses include public safety, public health, environmental protection, social services and aviation, among others, SAIC said.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide IT services in the areas of service desk and desktop services; data center management; applications maintenance and development; and overall IT service management.
Work will take place in Santa Ana, Calif., and at the company’s Integrated Services Management Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
"This contract will allow us to transform how IT services are provided at the County," said Mahesh Patel, Orange County deputy CEO and chief information officer.
