Northrop wins $26M contract to update Airbus planes with infrared system
Northrop Grumman has won a contract with the Air Force to modify and install two Airbus planes with Large Infrared Countermeasures System.
Northrop Grumman has won a $26 million contract with the U.S. Air Force to modify and install two Airbus aircraft with the Large Infrared Countermeasures system.
This will include hardware, support equipment and services, the Defense Department said in a release.
The model of aircraft is the Airbus A319CJ Head of State.
Work will be performed in Rolling Meadows, Ill., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2016.
The contract was sole sourced to Northrop Grumman.
