New Tricare contract under development

The Army is developing a small-business contract for Tricare to help the evolution of the Military Health Service Cyberinfrastructure, incorporate more electronic health records and integrate with Veterans Affairs.

The Army is looking for small businesses that can support the Tricare Management Activity’s enterprise infrastructure with acquisition and financial support services.

The value was not disclosed, but the work statement said that the government is looking for support as the Military Health Service Cyberinfrastructure Services evolves and incorporates more electronic health records, including integration with patient records at Veterans Affairs.

The contract under development would support the communications and computing infrastructure with dedicated acquisition and financial including the following:

  • Contract administration
  • Contract development and execution support
  • Financial and budget support
  • Cost estimation and analysis
  • Analyze and measure the probable effects of various acquisition strategies
  • Make recommendations on acquisition strategies

The work statement includes 22 deliverables, including an integrated master schedule, transition support, subcontracting plans, budget, financial and cost-estimation services.

Responses to the sources sought notice is May 17. The government said that the sources sought notice will be used to determine if there are small businesses capable of doing the work, and if there is enough interest to develop the contract.
