SAIC nabs $228M IT consolidation contract with Sandia National Labs

Science Applications International Corp. has won a five-year, $228 million contract with Sandia National Laboratories to provide mission computing and information technology services in support of the Energy Department.

The single-award contract has a five-year base, and one two-year option.

The company will provide mission-specific information technology research, development and integration of capabilities while maintaining high-performance and central hosting computing, desktop services and cybersecurity, SAIC said in a release.

Sandia National Laboratories supports the department’s National Nuclear Security Administration through its delivery of science and technology support to solve national security issues.

SAIC has won one of three contracts to provide IT services for Sandia, the company said.

"We have been providing services to Sandia for more than 30 years and we look forward to continuing our support of their mission,” said Dan Harris, senior vice president and business unit general manager.
