Camber to support better civilian-military relations

Camber Corp. has won an $18.2 million task order contract with the U.S. Navy for technical, professional and administrative support services.

The services under this cost-plus-fixed-fee contract will support the Center for Civil Military Relations, which provides training and education to U.S. and international military officials to improve relationships between civilians and the military and combat terrorism.

Work is expected to be completed by July 24, 2013, at the following locations, the Defense Department said in a release:

• Kailua, Hawaii (2 percent)
• Huntsville, Ala., (2 percent)
• Monterey, Calif., (9 percent)
• Tampa, Fla., (2 percent)
• Army posts in the United States (15 percent)
• Various locations outside the continental United States, each one percent and below (70 percent)

Contract funds will expire at the end of fiscal 2013, and no funds are obligated at the time of the award.

According to the Defense Department, this contract was not competitively procured, and this announcement involves potential foreign military sales.
