QinetiQ North America hires new director of strategic programs

QinetiQ North America has hired Richard M. Burke as its director of strategic programs within the company's Mission and Information Solutions business unit.

QinetiQ North America has appointed Richard M. Burke director of strategic programs of the company’s Mission and Information Solutions business unit.

In his new role, Burke will be responsible for aligning the company’s capabilities in cyber intelligence, software development, big data and mobility solutions with the company’s homeland and national security customers, the company said.

Burke was previously with the Homeland Security Department, serving most recently as a director of the department’s Plan Division within the Office of Operations Coordination and Planning.

Before the Homeland Security Department, Burke served in the U.S. Marine Corps. as a judge advocate and logistics officer, the company said.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Colgate University, a master’s degree in national security strategy from the National War College and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
