Find opportunities — and win them.

ManTech President and Chief Operating Officer for its emerging markets group, Terry Ryan, leaves the company for another firm.

UPDATED: This story has been updated to include Terry Ryan being named CEO of VT Group.

ManTech International has lost the president of one of its operating units, who apparently is moving onto another company.

Terry Ryan, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s emerging markets group, has left the company, a ManTech spokeswoman said.

He has left to become CEO of the VT Group, replacing David Dacquino, according to a report published in the Washington Business Journal.

There is no immediate replacement for him at ManTech. The spokeswoman said the company can take its time because it has seasoned leadership in place. More information likely will be announced when the company has its earnings call on Feb. 20.

Ryan joined ManTech in 2009 from Mercury Federal Systems, where he was president and chairman. He’s also held executive positions with Science Applications International Corp. and SRA International. He’s also held leadership positions at the Defense Department.
