Holiday greetings from Washington Technology

This blog posting has two purposes.

The first is strictly business, and is to let you know that our offices will be closed after Dec. 21, and will reopen Jan. 2. That means no newsletters, and no breaking news.

But, if something happens with the fiscal cliff, I’ll be back online with the latest.

The second is to wish all of our readers a happy holiday. 2012 is nearly behind us, and what a year it has been.

For Washington Technology, this was the year we said good-bye to print and became a completely online publication.

As sad as I was to see print go away, I’m excited about being online only. The transition hasn’t been difficult, though we’ve put in a lot of hard work in redesigning the website, and I’m now blogging nearly every day.

I’m looking forward to 2013, where we will introduce some new features and concepts to Washington Technology. Look for more on that as we finalize plans.

Our goal remains to be a trusted source of news and analysis on the government market, and to help you be better contractors.

I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating; I feel very fortunate to cover this market, and to write about the extraordinary people and companies that are in the government market.

I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be the editor of Washington Technology.

And finally, in light of the recent events in Newtown, Conn., I hope everyone’s families are safe and sound.
