Harris names new president of Integrated Network Solutions
James Morris takes over at Harris Integrated Network Solutions.
Harris Corp. has named James Morris as group president of its Integrated Network Solutions business.
Morris joins Harris from Western Digital Corp., where he held several executive positions since 2001. He most recently was executive vice president and general manager for four of the company’s commercial product businesses, with $7 billion in total revenue.
The Integrated Network Solutions business is one of three lines of business at Harris, along with RF Communications and Government Communications. In Harris’ fiscal 2012 results, the Integrated Network Solutions business brought in $1.6 billion in revenue.
The unit includes Harris CapRock Communications, Harris Healthcare Solutions and Harris IT Services.
Morris will report to Harris President and CEO William Brown.
He is a 47 years old and is an Army veteran, where he served as an intelligence officer and earned a Bronze Star in Operation Desert Storm. He is a West Point graduate and has a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University.
