WIT opens award nominations for top women leaders

Women in Technology has begun accepting nominations for its 14th annual leadership awards.

The awards program honors leading female professionals living in the Washington, D.C., area who bring a unique vision and talent in the technology arena as architects of change along with a passion for mentoring future leaders and supporting their community, the press release said.

Categories of the awards are as follow:

• Corporate—Private Sector (large and small)
• Corporate—Public Sector (large and small)
• Government
• Entrepreneur
• Social Impact IT
• Health IT
• Unsung Hero
• Rising Star
• Women in Technology Champion

The theme of this year’s awards is “No One Path,” meant to reflect the “achievements of the many remarkable women who continue to blaze the trail ad support other professional women to succeed in the technology industry,” said Nancy Lamberton, Women in Technology president.
