Pragmatics wins work modernizing Army classrooms

Pragmatics has won a task order with the U.S. Army, valued at $25 million to bring modern technology to Army classrooms.

The company won the contract under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract and will insert technology in the Training and Doctrine Command Enterprise Classroom Program.

Under the order, Pragmatics will continue to provide modernized instructional technology to support digital training in Army classrooms. Specifically, this means that the company will survey, engineer, design and integrate systems and procure, stage, install and test technology at classroom sites on Army installations nationwide, Pragmatics said.

The training is intended to be available “anytime, anywhere,” and will be delivered to warfighters and civilians within the Defense Department.

The company has already modernized over 750 classrooms. Classrooms have been modified in a number of ways, such as moving from analogue to digital design, and enabling the use of simulations and 3D media into soldiers’ curricula, as per the Army’s TRADOC 2015 classroom vision.
