Five win $750M command and control contract

Five contractors have won $750 million task order contracts, if options are execised, with the Navy for the engineering, procurement, installation, maintenance and technical support for a variety of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance initiatives and programs.

Winners of these firm-fixed-price, multiple-award contracts are the following:

• BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services Inc.
• DRS Technical Services Inc.
• General Dynamics Information Technology Inc.
• Engility Corp.
• M.C. Dean Inc.

Work  is expected to be completed by October 2013, but could extend to October 2017 if all options are exercised. It will be performend mainly in central Europe (75 percent), but will also be performed in other locations outside the continental United States (24 percent), and in Charleston, S.C., (1 percent), according to a Defense Department announcement.

Contract funds will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.

Contracts were competitively procured via the Space and Naval Warfare systems Center e-Commerce Central website, as well as the Federal Business Opportunities website, with seven offers received, the announcement said.

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
