Vision Technologies gets $5B Connections II with GTI acquisition

Find opportunities — and win them.

Vision Technologies acquires both Government Telecommunications Inc. and its contracts, among which is the $5 billion GSA Connections II contract.

Vision Technologies Inc. has acquired Government Telecommunications Inc., strengthening its IT telecommunication services through the latter’s contract vehicles, including the General Services Administration Connections II contract.

Financial terms of the acquisition have not yet been released. But the Connections II contract has a $5 billion ceiling. Vision will be able to compete with other Connections II contractors for task orders. There are 31 companies on the contract, according to Deltek.

Vision Technologies’ contract repertoire already includes the GSA's VETS contract and Schedule 70 and 84 contracts.

Connections II is a good platform for agencies to drive toward a more energy-efficient and secure telecommunications environment, the company said.

Government Telecommunications Inc. has won $52.6 million in task orders since the contract started at the end of 2011, according to Deltek.

It will let the company deliver IT telecommunications services focused on solutions for communications and networking; building or campus facility preparation; operations, administration and management; and customer service and technical support, the company said.
