QinetiQ wins $27M from two Coast Guard task orders

QinetiQ North America to provide oil spill claim support services and data migration and documentation services under Contract Technical and Administrative Support Services contract.

QinetiQ North America has won two task orders to help the Coast Guard manage claims that come in from oil spills.

The task orders were won under the U.S. Coast Guard National Pollution Funds Center’s Contractor Technical and Administrative Support Services contract.

The company will provide oil spill claim support services and data migration and documentation services. The combined value of the task orders is $27 million. The contract itself is a five-year blanket purchase agreement.

QinetiQ will provide the Coast Guard with surge support services for reviewing and processing oil spill claims made against the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund, which is available to pay claims for uncompensated damages. The fund was established under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.

The company will also help the Coast Guard archive claims and facilitate the National Pollution Funds Center’s migration toward electronic record keeping, by providing data migration and documentation services.

Services to be procured include claims review, project management, accounting, financial support and other technical services.
