Parsons wins $1.5B FAA contract

Parsons Corp. has won a 10-year, $1.5 billion contract to provide support services to the Federal Aviation Administration. Under the Technical Support Services Contract 4, Parsons will support the National Airspace System and provide services such as site surveys and selection, fire/life safety, equipment installation and removal, testing, staging and distribution, and contract surveillance and oversight. Parsons was the incumbent on the predecessor contract. The new contract is part of the FAA’s modernization effort of the National Airspace System, and it will support the transition to the Next Generation Air Transportation System, the company said. Work will take place in all 50 states and the U.S. territories, the FAA said. Teammates on the contract include Lockheed Martin and Woolpert Inc. Parsons has supported the FAA since 2001, the company said. The contract will last through August 2022 if all options are exercised, according to the FAA
