Northrop taps new VP of space, missile defense, advanced tech and ground programs
Ginger Wierzbanowski will report to corporate vice president of government relations, Sid Ashworth.
Northrop Grumman Corp. has named Ginger Wierzbanowski vice president of space, missile defense, advanced technology and ground programs.
She replaces John R. Landon, who is retiring at the end of the year. She will report to corporate vice president of government relations, Sid Ashworth.
"Ginger brings to this role broad expertise in both domestic and international space and defense policy and military intelligence," Ashworth said. "Her private sector, civil service and military experience is well aligned for her new role.”
When she joined the company in 2011, Wierzbanowski worked in Northrop Grumman’s government relations organization, serving as vice president of government relations, special projects.
Before Northrop Grumman, Wierzbanowski was legislative assistant to the vice chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. She has also served in management and planning roles in advanced research, technology and intelligence for Boeing Co. and Science Applications International Corp.
Wierzbanowski also spent 20 years with the U.S. Air Force, where she was both chief of the intelligence applications division at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and chief of the Intelligence, Plans and Program Division at the Air Force Special Operations Command.
