Dell wins $100M Alliant order from NIH unit

Dell Inc. will provide a variety of IT and other services to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under a General Services Administration Alliant contract task order worth more than $100 million.

Under the terms of this award, Dell will provide support services to the institute’s domestic and international users who include biomedical researchers, managers and administrative staff.

As part of the contract Dell will provide support to the network infrastructure, engineering services, application development, high performance computing, security, business intelligence, cloud computing, mobility and management.

A continuation of Dell’s long partnership with NIAID, this contract will help the customer significantly improve operational efficiency, enhance workforce productivity and deliver measurable business value.

NIAID, of Bethesda, Md., is a unit within the National Institutes of Health under the Health and Human Services Department.
