CACI deal bolsters financial management chops
CACI's acquisition of Delta Solutions brings more financial management and transformation skills to the company.
CACI International Inc. is buying a provider of financial management and business analytics services to the government.
The move to buy Delta Solutions and Technologies Inc. bolsters CACI’s capabilities in business systems solutions and government transformation, the company said. It also complements CACI’s acquisition of Advanced Programs Group, which had strong Oracle capabilities.
Delta, of Reston, Va., has 175 employees that work as management consultants and IT specialists focused on federal financial management systems design, development, integration and operations and maintenance. They work primarily in SAP and Momentum software packages. The company also has an analytics practice, CACI said.
Major Delta customers include the Justice, Veterans Affairs, and Housing and Urban Development departments. In 2011, it had $44.8 million in revenue.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but it is expected to close by July 1.
“Financial management systems are essential to the business operations of every federal agency, and keeping the technology behind these systems up-to-date is critical to mission success,” said Dan Allen, CACI president of U.S. operations.
The acquisition opens new growth opportunities for CACI, he said.
The investment bank Houlihan Lokey advised Delta on the transaction.
CACI is ranked No. 14 on Washington Technology's 2012 Top 100 list of the largest federal contractors.
