Former FedRamp adviser named Kickstand partner

New role continues Michael Lee’s service as senior IT government adviser.

Government consulting company Kickstand LLC has named Michael Lee a partner.

In this role, he will continue to serve as a senior information technology adviser to the government, and will be responsible for providing policy and IT management guidance as well as managing strategic programs, according to the company’s April 24 announcement.

Prior to joining Kickstand, Lee was a principal at Touchstone Consulting, a subsidiary of SRA International Inc.

Lee previously had served as strategy and technical lead for the federal cloud computing initiative from its inception in 2009, where he influenced policy such as the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, known as FedRAMP.

Lee also was an architect and author of the federal cloud computing strategy and that of the Defense Department as well.
