Amazon makes another strategic hire
Adds executive with deep experience navigating the government channel.
Amazon Web Services has made another strategic hire in the government space. This time it's bringing on Max Peterson to run its channel and partnering programs.
Peterson, formerly of Dell Inc. and CDW Government Inc., is a veteran player in the government market.
He’ll report to Teresa Carlson, who was hired at the end of 2010 from Microsoft to lead Amazon Web Services’ global public sector business.
In January, Amazon hired Frank DiGiammarino, a former advisor to Vice President Joe Biden, as a director of global public sector.
Peterson's new title is the general manager of programs, contracts and capture, for AWS public sector.
