Health IT investments on the rise

Find opportunities — and win them.

Venture capitalists are showing their love and dollars for health IT.

The health IT market remains a hot commodity for investors with venture capitalists pouring $633 million into software and IT services last year, according to Information Week.

Investor interest has been spurred on by health care reform, which encourages hospitals and physicians to use electronic health records. Other areas drawing investments include mobile devices and information management software, according to the article by Nicole Lewis.

A survey Dow Jones VentureSource and the National Venture Capital Association showed that 61 percent of respondents predict investment increases in health IT in 2012.
