Jacobs’ award continues tech support at AF armament center
Jacobs will provide systems engineering and integration support for virtually all Air Force air-launched weapon systems at the Air Armament Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has received a follow-on contract from the Air Force to provide advisory and assistance services for the Air Armament Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
The three-year Technical and Engineering Acquisition Support 6 contract has a ceiling of $662 million with task order execution commencing December 11, according to a Nov. 29 statement from Jacobs.
The scope of work includes systems engineering and integration support for virtually all Air Force air-launched weapon systems, test and training range systems, and numerous air combat support systems.
The subcontractor team includes Qualis Corp. and Bevilacqua Research Corp.
Jacobs' support of this Air Force program dates back to its inception in 1986, the company said.
With a staff of nearly 600 personnel, the contractor provides technical expertise to help the Air Armament Center develop, acquire, test, deploy and sustain air-delivered munitions, the statement added.
Jacobs Engineering Group, of Pasadena, Calif., ranks No. 20 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
