When completed, the Laboratory Information Management System will manage the analytical workflow operations of 825 users in FDA’s Office of Regulatory Affairs labs, a Nov. 8 company statement said.
The system will support sample accountability, data analysis, document control, report generation, and other lab operation functions.
FDA’s Office of Regulatory Affairs has 14 site labs and two mobile labs. It operates mainly five types of laboratories -- microbiology, food chemistry, drug chemistry, devices, and forensics.
Dovèl’s partner Starlims Corp. will provide its unified platform that includes all critical components of the Dovèl solution. In addition to Starlims, Dovèl will be supported by JPC Partners, LabAnswer and Science Applications International Corp.
