7 and 7 win $458M Army contract

Seven large businesses and seven small ones have won spots on a $458 million Army contract to provide support services for the Army’s Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Ga.

The companies will compete for task orders under the contract.

The large business winners are:

Booz Allen Hamilton
Cubic Corp.
L-3 Communications
Northrop Grumman
RLM Communications
Science Applications International Corp.
Serco North America

The small business winners are:

Anautics Inc.
Charles F. Day & Associates LLC
Paramount Solutions Inc.
Potawatomi Training LLC
The Talmadge Group Inc.
Totalis Consulting Group Inc.
Yorktown Systems Group Inc.

The five-year contract will be used for the development of training strategies, doctrine, capabilities, analysis, instruction, and other products for the current and future force.

The procurement has seven task areas that include analytical support, instruction, training development, doctrine development, combat development, and simulations and analysis support. Training solutions will include live, virtual, constructive and gaming.

The Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning was created by the consolidation of the Army’s Infantry School at Fort Benning with the Armor School at Fort Knox as a result of the 2005 Army Base Realignment and Closure Commission's decision to consolidate a number of schools and installations by September 2011, the Defense Department said.
