Unisys supports CDC with new hardware, software
Unisys Corp. has won a three-year, $10.2 million time and materials task order from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for IT support services to the Information Technology Services Office.
Unisys Corp. has won a three-year, $10.2 million time and materials task order from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for IT support services.
Under the task order, awarded under the CDC Information Management Services contract, Unisys will design, configure, install and maintain hardware and software supporting all aspects of CDC’s public health mission, according to an Oct. 14 company announcement. The work supports CDC's Information Technology Services Office, which maintains the agency's IT infrastructure.
The office has an IT consolidation mission designed to improve the quality and reliability of IT services and to increase standardization while reducing costs to free resources for reinvestment into CDC’s direct mission activities, the announcement said.
The infrastructure products and services developed and maintained by the IT Services Office are used across CDC and support a number of CDC programs and initiatives to meet the agency’s public health objectives.
Unisys Corp., of Blue Bell, Pa., ranks No. 40 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
