Salient makes move into emergency response systems
Salient buys division from Dataline to expand emergency response and mass notification systems capabilities.
Salient Federal Solutions has acquired a division of Dataline LLC in a move that bolsters the company's emergency response system capabilities.
Salient is buying the Electronic Security Systems division, according to a news release from the Fairfax, Va.-based federal IT and engineering solutions provide. Financial details were not disclosed. ESS provides electronic security systems and mass notification systems to Defense Department customers. Those services will now be available to all Salient customers, the company said.
With the acquisition, Salient also becomes the prime on the Integrated Electronic Security Systems contract.
“This expands our ability to help customers meet their security requirements and to protect both hard and soft targets anywhere in the world. We focus on missions that matter most to our customers, ” said Brad Antle, president and CEO of Salient.
The purchase expands Salient's capabilities in design, engineering and installation of consolidated emergency response systems to include access control, alarm monitoring, intrusion detection, video surveillance and asset tracking, the company said.
"Our business model emphasizes organic growth," said Salient Chief Operating Officer Bill Parker. "The ESS acquisition will facilitate such growth by adding essential capabilities to our portfolio and giving us greater access to customer opportunities through the IESS contract vehicle."
