Is HP's CEO about to get fired?

Find opportunities — and win them.

The board of directors meets this week and may decide his fate. Who do they reportedly want to replace him?

Fortune magazine is reporting that Hewlett-Packard’s board may oust CEO Leo Apotheker in favor of former eBay CEO Meg Whitman.

She currently serves on HP’s board of directors.

Apotheker took over in November 2010 and recently announced a revamping of the company that included the sale or spin off of its PC business, the nixing of its TouchPad tablet, and the acquisition of software company Autonomy Corp.

His strategy is to focus the company on the enterprise and shift it away from the consumer business.
