Fast 50 correction
Data entry error leads to mistake in 2011 Washington Technology Fast 50.
A data entry error led to the inclusion of a company on the 2011 Fast 50 that didn't have a high enough compound annual growth rate. The company, Universal Consulting, contacted us about the error, saying we should not have included them.
The mistake was made by Washington Technology.
Universal Consulting was removed the list, where it was inadvertently ranked No. 14. With its removal, all the other companies ranked at Nos. 14 through 50 were moved up one notch. For example, Evoke Research and Consulting was ranked No. 15 but is now ranked No. 14.
Because of the shift upward, Veris Group LLC was added as the new No. 50 on the Fast 50.
Unfortunately, the print version of the rankings had already been published when the mistake was discovered. We'll be running a print correction in our September issue.
Washington Technology regrets the error.
