8 share $720M Navy support contract

Now the competition begins to win task orders for support services across four regions.
The Navy has awarded eight small businesses 24 contracts spread across four regions of the country to provide a variety of support services. The combined value of the contracts is $730 million over three years.
The companies will compete for task orders where they won a contract. Each region has six winners.
The eight companies are:
- Alutiiq 3SG, LLC, Anchorage, Alaska
- Coastal Management Solutions Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.
- Logistics Support Inc., Washington.
- Quantell Inc., Grantsville, Md.
- Stellar Support Services II LLC, Virginia Beach, Va.
- Symtech Inc., Sarasota, Fla.
- Tek Source USA Inc., Tampa, Fla.
- Zenetex Inc., Herndon, Va.
The contracts are for a wide range of temporary support services in 15 areas: administrative support and clerical services; quarters management services; health care services (but not doctors, nurses and physician assistants); information and arts; information technology; instructional and training services; maritime material handling; mechanics and maintenance and repair; plant and system operation; engineering/technical support; mobile equipment operation; financial management; specialized technology; industrial services and general services and support.
The eight winners were picked from 57 offers submitted to the Fleet Logistics Center in San Diego.
The winners by region are:
Area I - Hawaii: Coastal Management Solutions; Logistics Support; Quantell; Stellar Support Services; Tek Source; and Zenetex.
Area II - Southwest and Northwest: Coastal Management Solutions; Logistics Support; Quantell; Stellar Support Services; Symtech; and Tek Source USA.
Area III - Southeast: Coastal Management Solutions; Logistics Support; Quantell; Stellar Support Services; Symtech; and Tek Source USA.
Area IV - Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Washington: Alutiiq 3SG; Coastal Management Solutions; Quantell; Stellar Support Services; Symtech; and Tek Source.
