Sid Fuchs named president, CEO of defense engineering company

Sidney Fuchs will become president and CEO of MacAulay-Brown Inc., an engineering and technical services provider to the defense and intelligence communities, on Aug. 1.

Sidney Fuchs will become president and CEO of MacAulay-Brown Inc., an engineering and technical services provider to the defense and intelligence communities, on Aug. 1.

He will replace President Charles Schwegman, who is retiring after more than 14 years in that position.

Fuchs brings more than 25 years experience in intelligence and national security, aerospace and defense, commercial IT services and private equity with an emphasis on engineering, development, integration and operations of mission-critical programs, systems and technologies, according to the MacAulay-Brown announcement dated July 26.

He most recently served as a senior adviser to Indus Corp. CEO Shiv Krishnan.

Fuchs was a corporate officer of Northrop Grumman Corp. and served as president and CEO of TASC Inc., a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman. He also served as president of Northrop Grumman Information Technology’s Civilian Agencies Group.

He also as served as CEO and as a director of ATS Corp. Before joining ATS, Fuchs was CEO and a director of OAO Technology Solutions, where he significantly increased revenue, expanded market share and led the company’s acquisition by Platinum Equity in 2010.

MacAulay-Brown has its headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, with numerous regional offices in various locations including Vienna, Va.
