Secure Technologies Group expands with new cyber ops chief

Adam Suri has joined Secure Technologies Group as senior vice president of cyber operations for the government provider of cybersecurity solutions.

Suri will lead and build a strong commercial and public sector government business that will enable the Arnold, Md., company to take full advantage of the markets’ need for cybersecurity products and services, a company announcement made June 23 said.

Suri previously was director of cybersecurity at Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development, charged with implementing the recommendations of Gov. Martin O’Malley’s CyberMaryland Initiative.

Suri's cyber background includes roles in sales, marketing and engineering at Yafo Networks, Cisco Systems, Honeywell and Charles Industries.

Suri has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He also holds patents in network management and optical encryption.
