SAIC to provide variety of IT services to VA’s tech office

Science Applications International Corp. will provide a variety of IT services to the Veterans Affairs Department under a three-year, $10 million contract from the General Services Administration.

The single-award GSA prime contract calls for SAIC to provide a host of IT strategy and support services to VA’s Office of Information & Technology, which supplies cost-effective technology services across the department and acts as a steward for all of VA's IT assets and resources, according to a May 31 SAIC announcement.

The work, to be performed primarily in Washington, D.C., will include: identification and implementation of organizational and project performance metrics; development and maintenance of a strategic information resources management plan; development of support functions; business strategy analysis; documentation; IT strategy training, and communications planning.

SAIC, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 6 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
