Lockheed chief won't rule out more cuts

Lockheed Martin Corp. has reduced its headcount by 20,000 over the last two years, but more belt tightening might be needed.
Lockheed Martin Corp. Chairman and CEO Robert Stevens said that while the company has cut 20,000 employees from its rolls over the last two years, he can’t rule out more cuts, according to the Washington Post.
The company has used buyouts and layoffs and has consolidated facilities to reduce its headcount and lower costs.
Stevens told the Post that he is confident of growth in Lockheed Martin’s IT business and in energy.
Lockheed Martin is ranked No. 1 on Washington Technology's 2011 Top 100 list of the largest government contractors.
