CGI Federal recruits Army program officer for executive post
Gary Wetterhall, a 36-year veteran of the Army Department, is retiring May 31 to join CGI Federal as executive consultant responsible for business development and program management expertise.
Gary Wetterhall, a 36-year veteran of the Army Department, is retiring May 31 to join CGI Federal Inc.
He will become a CGI executive consultant whose responsibilities will include business development and program management expertise.
Wetterhall served in the Army’s Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) for the past 12 years, including a stint as director of operations and assistant program executive officer.
For the past three years, he has worked on the Army's Financial ERP system known as the General Fund Enterprise Business System, an enterprise IT program under the PEO EIS.
As GFEBS project director, he managed the activities of more than 400 government and contractor employees involved in implementing the Army’s first Enterprise Resource Planning system.
Wetterhall came to PEO EIS from the Army Materiel Command Europe, where he served as program director for theater logistics contracts in support of U.S. and NATO operations in Central Europe, Africa and the Balkans.
He also served as director of the American Council for Technology & Industry Advisory Council from 2007 to 2010.
Wetterhall holds a bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in management from Troy State University.
