SAIC wins FAA award for IT support to numerous agencies

Science Applications International Corp. will help the Federal Aviation Administration and other federal agencies operate their business services more smoothly thanks to a five-year FAA contract that could be worth more than $156 million if all options are exercised.

SAIC’s indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity prime contract calls for IT services for the FAA Enterprise Services Center, a federal shared-service provider of integrated business services and solutions, and other federal agencies.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide comprehensive IT support in system development, integration, management and hosting; telecommunications; information security and media support; office automation; and training.

The Enterprise Services Center provides enterprise systems and applications, data centers, and services in accounting, human resources, payroll, custom programming and training across the FAA and the Transportation Department.

The center also serves the Government Accountability Office; the Agriculture, Commerce and Education departments; the Consumer Product Safety Commission; the Air Force; the Coast Guard; the Social Security Administration; the Transportation Security Administration; the Office of Personnel Management; the General Services Administration; and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The work will be performed primarily at the center’s headquarters in Oklahoma City.
