SAIC moves into third phase of anti-WMD tech development
Science Applications International Corp. has won a three-year, $23 million Defense Department task order to work on Phase 3 of the Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset, developing technology specifically designed to reduce WMD threats.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a three-year, $23 million Defense Department task order to work on Phase 3 of the Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset, developing technology specifically designed to reduce WMD threats.
Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity Defeat WMD Technology contract, SAIC will develop and integrate the architecture framework to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s technology transfer, gateway and portal use, according to a DOD announcement released March 17.
The contractor will also support the development, maintenance and updating of common software and support documentation.
The work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by March 6, 2014.
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity.
SAIC, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
