CIA website goes social, mobile apps coming soon
The CIA.gov website has new links to YouTube and Flickr, and the agency promises mobile applications to access its Web content are coming soon.
The Central Intelligence Agency today launched social media enhancements to its public CIA.gov website and said it was preparing to debut mobile applications to allow users to access its Web content from smart phones.
The new features include links to the CIA’s YouTube channel and Flickr site, the agency said in a news release.
More enhancements are planned in the next few months, including content available in foreign languages, the agency said.
“Because more than half of Internet users browse with mobile devices, CIA.gov is developing a truncated, text-based version of the full site,” the CIA said.
