ManTech to service Navy aircraft, weapons systems

ManTech International Corp. will provide engineering, technical and administrative support to the Navy under a five-year contract worth $57 million.

The contract calls for the company to assist the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s naval aircraft and systems, according to a ManTech announcement dated Jan. 24.

Under the terms of the contract, ManTech’s support will work to ensure reliability, maintainability, testability, quality assurance, and systems safety analyses during the design, development, production and in-service cycles of naval aircraft and associated systems.

ManTech engineers will service carrier-based tactical aircraft, shipboard-capable vertical/short-takeoff and landing aircraft, and maritime support aircraft.

The award also covers unmanned aircraft, tactical weapons and support systems, avionics and equipment, air-launched weapons, electronic warfare systems, cruise missiles, aircraft launch and recovery equipment, and other equipment related to Navy and Marine Corps air power, the announcement said.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, a unit of the Naval Air Systems Command, is located at Patuxent River, Md.; Lakehurst, N.J.; and Orlando, Fla.
