GDIT boosts IT systems for Army HQ in Europe

General Dynamics Information Technology will support the U.S. Army Europe headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, and its associated staff elements and organizations as part of the USAREUR Theater Warfighter Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) program, according to a company announcement today.
As part of the task order, the company will provide systems engineering, network integration and configuration, Battle Command Systems support, IT knowledge management, Microsoft SharePoint support, video teleconferencing and Web development.
GDIT also will perform logistics, training, planning and exercises support.
The majority of work will be performed at USAREUR headquarters, at other sites in Germany and at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.
The award continues General Dynamics’ nearly 40 years of uninterrupted support to the USAREUR mission, the announcement said.
General Dynamics Corp., of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 6 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
