A-T Solutions' acquisition grows its intell offerings

A-T Solutions Inc. has acquired Innovative Technology Systems Inc. (ITS), an IT company that specializes in solutions for the intelligence community, the Defense Department and other government organizations.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not reported.

With this acquisition, the Vienna, Va., provider of anti-terrorism and counter-terrorism technologies will further expand its capabilities to serve customers in the intelligence community, a company announcement said today.

ITS was founded in 2003 and has grown rapidly into a provider of technology services to the intelligence and defense communities in the areas of mission systems, software engineering and development, network services, and mission assurance, the announcement said.

ITS supports the Office of Director of National Intelligence, the National Reconnaissance Office, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and other government customers.

Based in Larkspur, Colo., ITS also has offices in Herndon, Va., and Columbia, Md.

Thee company has 60 employees, most of whom hold high-level security clearances.

As part of the acquisition, the Colorado office will become a program management and business operations center to support A-T Solutions’ customers and business development activities in the Southwest Corridor as well as the West Coast and southern border regions.

In November 2010, A-T Solutions won a five-year, $3 million contract to continue helping the FBI’s Evidence Response Team Unit as it modernizes its Evidence Collection and Management system.
