Lockheed Martin Corp. has won a $65 million information technology task order from the Air Force that marks 20 years of the defense company’s IT support to the military branch.
Lockheed Martin Corp. has won a $65 million information technology task order from the Air Force that marks 20 years of the defense company’s IT support to the military branch.
The five-year task order under the GSA Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract calls for Lockheed to supply the Air Mobility Command Directorate of Logistics with IT infrastructure services and sustainment, program management, and software and database development and management, according to a Lockheed announcement released today.
Under the task order, Lockheed Martin is also providing programming and subject-matter expertise for IT related issues.
Lockheed Martin employees at 17 Air Mobility Command bases currently provide IT support to aircraft maintenance groups, as well as desktop and network support to AMC headquarters.
The contract work is being performed at AMC headquarters at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and at 16 other locations, including all AMC bases; Ramstein Air Base, Germany; and Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
