K4 Solutions Inc., a woman-owned, 8(a) small-business government contractor, has won two federal contracts that have a combined value of almost $18 million.
Under a two-year, $3.2 million Army award, K4 will scan documents, digitize them and create a Web-enabled document management system for the Army's Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services to support the Army Security Assistance Command and foreign military services.
The command stores approximately 12 million pages of case and process documentation, with exponential growth of 450,000 pages per month, according to a company announcement.
K4 will develop a scalable online system and enhance retrieval of case documentation, which will be available to authorized users via secure Army communication lines.
The work will take place in New Cumberland, Pa., and Huntsville, Ala.
K4 Solutions, of Falls Church, Va., was previously awarded a $14.5 million contract from the Transportation Security Administration to provide facilities, infrastructure, technology and personnel for TSA’s public call center.
K4 will operate TSA’s secure call center and handle inquiries from the public, TSA employees, private industry and government organizations.
The company will also build the center’s interactive voice response platform and develop a knowledge management database to improve telephone and e-mail customer response functions and contact center services.
