CGI continues IT support for Marines’ manpower branch

CGI Federal Inc. will provide information technology services to the Marine Corps under a five-year, $11 million contract.

This competitively awarded contract from the Marine Corps Systems Command will support multiple, critical Marine Corps Manpower Management Support Branch IT applications, according to a CGI statement released today.

Under the award, CGI Federal, a wholly owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., will provide network support, information assurance, system maintenance, application enhancements and support the Marines branch daily business operations.

The primary focus of the work will be to ensure systems availability and accurate record transmission and reporting, which will help maintain continuity of operations for the Marine Corps’ promotion boards, according to the statement.

"This contract continues the support that we have been providing to the Manpower Management Support Branch the past five years," said Amy Ygbuhay, a CGI vice president of CGI. "Our 21-year partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps now spans 27 separate programs."

CGI Group Inc., of Montreal, ranks No. 82 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
