Jacobs assists Army with logistics support

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. will provide logistics support to the Army under a three-year contract that has a maximum value of $10.6 million.

The contract, from the Army Tacom Life Cycle Management Command, of Warren, Mich., calls for Jacobs to assist the Program Manager Heavy Brigade Combat Team’s vehicle platforms.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jacobs is providing integrated logistics support, new equipment training, electronic and automation services, and other required logistical support.

The Tacom Life Cycle Management Command, in partnership with the Army's Program Executive Offices, is one of the Army’s largest weapon systems research, development and sustainment organizations.

Its mission is to develop, acquire, field and sustain soldier and ground systems by integrating acquisition, logistics and cutting-edge technology.

Jacobs Engineering Group, of Pasadena, Calif., ranks No. 20 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
