Miller announces retirement from Robbins Gioia

Emory Miller is retiring after six years as senior vice president for government affairs at Robbins-Gioia, a provider of project management services to the government. His retirement is effective July 15.

Miller, who previously served as director of professional development at the General Service Administration, also founded the CIO University, a virtual consortium of universities offering graduate-level programs addressing executive core competencies.

In an e-mail today to friends and colleagues, Miller wrote, “This is not an abrupt decision – just a hard one. I have enjoyed a challenging and rewarding experience at Robbins-Gioia, as I had in government, and walking away is not easy. It is especially difficult because I will be leaving this wonderful community of public and private sector individuals who strive every day to make this country better.”
