STG provides IT support to Army signal center

STG Inc. will provide information technology services to the Army under a three-year contract valued at $17.4 million.

The contract calls for STG to provide IT support to the Army’s 4^th Signal Center Pacific-Theater Network Operations and Security Center (PAC-TNOSC), one of six such Army theater centers.

PAC-TNOSC’s mission is to operate, manage and defend the Army's segment of the Pacific LandWarNet and guarantee the effective delivery of mission-critical network services to all Army entities serving in the Pacific region, STG said in an announcement today.

PAC-TNOSC’s network operations services provide key decision makers, supporting commands and warfighters with secure communications and access to information systems essential in implementing operational objectives.

Under the terms of the contract, STG will provide timely, secure and responsive around-the-clock IT services to users in the Pacific area of responsibility.

STG has been providing support to PAC-TNOSC for nearly two years and has been supporting Army enterprise network environments for the past 10 years, said Simon Lee, the company's president and chief executive officer.

STG, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 96 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
