IT legends gather at AFFIRM Leadership Awards event
A who’s who of former federal information technology leaders joined in recognizing this year’s honorees at AFFIRM’s annual Executive Leadership Awards at the Capital Hilton June 17.
The Association for Federal Information Resources Management, a non-profit professional development group founded in 1979, honored nearly a dozen government officials for the outstanding leadership.
David L. McClure, associate administrator, Office of Citizen Services and Communications, General Services Administration, took top civilian honors for executive leadership in government–wide information resources management. Gary L. Winkler, program executive officer for Enterprise Information Systems, Under Secretary of the Army, took the top defense agency executive honor. And Donna Morea, president U.S., India, Europe and Asia, CGI top the top industry executive honor.
