HPTi captures $115M pact to monitor VA IT programs

Find opportunities — and win them.

The Veterans Affairs Department has awarded a contract worth up to $115 million to HPTi and its team members to evaluate information technology programs.

The Veterans Affairs Department has contracted with a team led by High Performance Technologies Inc. (HPTi) to help evaluate and monitor the Veterans Relationship Management information technology programs under a five-year contract valued at up to $115 million, the company said today.

HPTi will provide technical program management to move the veterans relationship IT programs through the VA’s Program Management Accountability System started last July by Roger Baker, assistant secretary for information and technology, according to a news release.

Under the contract, HPTi will monitor and support the Veterans Relationship Management program. It involves developing various IT solutions related to customer relations, including advanced voice-recognition tools for caller identification and routing, enhanced Web self-services tools, and integrated desktop interfaces for VA representatives who deal with veterans online.

HPTi will assist in vetting the relationship management projects through the VA’s program management system, an assessment program for the approximately 280 ongoing information technology projects at the VA.

Team members on the contract include ICF International, Whitney, Bradley and Brown, M Squared Strategies, and the RayGroup.

The contract has one base year, and four option years, with a potential value of $115 million if all options are exercised.

HPTi will also develop knowledge management tools and other IT services under the contract.

Founded in 1991, HPTi is based in Reston, Va. as an IT solutions provider to the federal government.
